If you’d like to install the plugin manually, we have a separate download for that: VST for Windows
Installing Mac VST version #
- Download the Buckets And Decay installer from this website.
- Run the installer and follow the prompts.
- Buckets And Decay will now be available to use in your audio app.
If you’d like to install the plugin manually, we have a separate download for that: VST for Mac
Installing Audio Unit version #
Buckets And Decay is an Audio Unit version 3 plugin. That means the plugin itself is stored inside the app. The app just needs to be placed in your Applications folder and opened.
- Download Buckets And Decay from this website.
- UnZIP it and move it to your Applications folder.
- Open Buckets And Decay.
That’s it! There is no step 4! As long as the plugin is on your Mac, it will continue to be available in Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper and any audio app that supports version 3 Audio Units. Please note that side chaining is required to use Buckets And Decay, which means the plugin will not be usable in GarageBand.
Updating Audio Unit version #
To update Buckets And Decay to the latest version, just open the app and you should be prompted to install the update. If you’d like to check immediately, the Check for Updates menu item under the Buckets And Decay menu can be used.
If there’s an update available, the plugin will indicate this in the top right corner.
Uninstalling Audio Unit version #
Drag the Buckets And Decay app to the trash. There’s really no situation where this would be warranted though.
