Using Time
The Time menu extra shows the date and time in your menu bar, plus world clocks and other information in the dropdown menu.

Styling options #
Clicking the time item in iStat Menus shows options to control the font, font size, colour and other settings.

Editing the menu bar clock and world clocks #
The menu bar clock and world clocks in iStat Menus are highly customisable. All relatively normal clock formats are possible, as are some wildly different formats. To edit the menu bar clock, click its corresponding Edit button to open the Edit Menu Bar Clock sheet.
Adding items to the clock format is easy — just drag a token into the token field. To delete a token, click on it in the token field and press delete on your keyboard.

Our menu bar clock and world clock format examples help document covers menu bar clocks in more detail, with many examples.
Editing world clock city names #
The world clock city names can be edited, to add notes, or for any other reason — maybe you’d like to show coworkers’ names next to their location? You can do that!

Adding UTC to the world clock #
If you’d like UTC in the Date & Time dropdown, search for “UTC” when adding a city to the World Clocks.
Day of the month #
If you’d like to add the day of the month to your clock, please ensure you drag the token from the Day section. If you’d like to add the current month as a number to your clock, please ensure you drag token from the Month section.
System time offset #
The system time offset token can be used to show the difference between the system time and the displayed city’s time — if the city is 2 hours ahead of the system time, a +2 will be shown.
First day of the week #
When set to “Automatic”, iStat Menus uses the same first day of the week as macOS has been set to. If you’d like a different first day of the week in the calendar, please set it on the Time tab.

World Clock format #
It’s also possible to change the format of the world clocks shown in the Time dropdown.

Default calendar app #
iStat Menus opens the default macOS calendar app when the icon at the bottom of the time dropdown menu is clicked. The default calendar app can be set by opening Apple’s built-in Calendar app, and choosing a different app in Preferences.
